this a very beautiful philosophical song penned by GULZAR tunned by HEMANT KUMAR nad delicately sang by LATA MANGESHKAR for a very nice movie KHAMOSHI. those were the days when Gulzar used to write such beautiful songs but at present even he has to write songs like Kazrare kazarare terekale kale naina for BUNTY AUR BUBALI or Bidi jalai le zigar se piya zigar me badi aag hai for OMKARA. after all ROZI ROTI means a lot.

when first time i listened this lovely song i thought that this will be a hit one. and it happened rather Shan got popularity only after this song. Shan sang it from the bottom of his heart.
